As a Maine wedding photographer, I've photographed hundreds of weddings in the many beautiful wedding barns in the state. I'm not supposed to pick favorites, but there's a beautiful barn in Harpswell, Maine, that has absolutely stollen my heart. Built in the late 1800s, Live Well Farm and it's beautifully restored farmhouse and grounds offer a uniquely intimate and quintessentially Maine wedding venue.

My husband and I were married at Live Well Farm in July of 2015. So I'm alowed the bias right? In fact, we were the very first couple to be married there, besides Patrick Dempsey, who was the former owner.

In the winter of 2016 I received an email from Patty, Live Well Farm's owner, asking if I was available to photograph her son's wedding at the Farm. I jumped at the opportunity. Patty and Scott Rupert are amazing people and It was truly an honor to help document their son John's wedding.

On a beautiful June evening John and his gorgeous wife Shira and their beloved, perfectly outfitted dog-child Phil, wed at the Farm. Shira wore a stunning BHLDN dress and she made her dogs tie. All the peonies on her tables were straight out of Live Well Farm's gardens. Here's the story of their beautiful love.
